A turn in speeches.

I have had a bit of a turn around in my speeches because I couldn't find any info on people killing Brown Bears. So I have decided to change it to-
 'Why NewZealand should host the 2020 Olympics.
Well why can't the beautiful countryof NZ can't host the Olympic games It is because we NewZealand is a great green country with very friendly people and the ideal place to host the 2020 Olympic games.

These were the topics that I thought of and chose from.
-Why NewZealand should be able to host the 2020 Olympic games.
-That we should learn to read and write before we learn how to use IPads, IPods, Cellphones and Computers. I'm 11 and I have trouble texting but I know how to read and write.
-Why every house in NewZealand should have smoke alarms.
-Why Cellphones are deadly.

Start of the 2012 Olympics.

The first few days of the 2012 Olympics have been thrilling. Starting with the very well put together opening ceremony. I have watched some of the Rowing and some of the Equestrian Dressage and it is all very exciting. My Olympian I chose to follow Eric Murry started his Olympic charge with winning his heat and beating all his opponent's by 8 seconds and over in the men's coxless pair. With his partner Hamish Bond, they haven't been beaten in rowing since 2008. They also smashed the record with a perfect race with this perfect time 6m 08.50s.

NewZealand Olympic Team.

For the Olympics we were told to chose a NewZealand Olympic athlete so we went on to this website-http://www.olympic.org.nz/

and I chose Eric Murry and Hamish Bond they are competing in Coxless Pair - Men. Which is rowing.

Yr7 Camp.

In week 8 yr7 students from Winton school will be going to camp Tautuku (Catlins) from Wednesday-5 to the 7 of September this will be are 3rd camp and everyone is excited. The first camp we went to was camp Columba which is just out of Gore which was year-5. Then in year 6 we went toQueensTown which was great, and this year it is Tautuku. Then next year we will go to Deep Cove YAY!!

Olympics.

Olympic Park.

Only 4 days to the Olympics and everyone is excited. In class we will be doing work on the Olympics hopefully that will include watching some of the Olympics. This year NewZealand is hoping to get to 100 medals I think we will. If you are In NewZealand and you want to watch the opening ceremony you will have to get up on Saturday morning. It is said to be better than the one in Beijing in 2008. That must be hard because they set a high standard.

Speeches.

This term we are doing speeches we can choose our topics BUT!!! it has to be persuasive so I had to choose Mum said it has to be something I like so. I choose why we shouldn't hunt Brown bears. Because I like Bears their so cute and hunters don't eat  them so why hunt them. I know sad. The hunter kill the poor bears for big game hunting and floor rugs. Next week we will be writing them. OH NO!!!

W.W.W. Is fun Writing the whole class does on Wednesday this time our teacher Miss Brown found a photo from one of last terms newspapers this is what it was.

So we had twenty minutes to right anything about the Orvillecopter.
This is my story.

That's the first part of my amazing part of my story hi I'm Orville and I have a dream and that's to fly. I have seen the air planes and the helicopters. So to reach my dream me and my friend Tiger have invented the Orvillecopter. It's great really carbon fibre rotor powered great really. I'll show ya. Ok i'll just get ready whooa ok so i'm up now i'll just do one lap round the kitchen table then i'll come back.
